Celles-ci se distinguent principalement par les \u00e9volutions techniques. Elles sont r\u00e9parties selon les crit\u00e8res suivants :<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Type de construction des v\u00e9hicules ferroviaires<\/li>\n<li>Les livr\u00e9es et inscriptions des v\u00e9hicules ferroviaires<\/li>\n<li>Les infrastructures ferroviaires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dans certains pays, en France notamment, les \u00e9poques sont \u00e9galement subdivis\u00e9es par plusieurs tranches appel\u00e9es &#8220;p\u00e9riodes&#8221; et repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es par des lettres minuscules jointes directement \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque (p.ex. IVb). Ceci est d\u00fb \u00e0 de minimes modifications sur les composants de la liste pr\u00e9cit\u00e9e mais qui implique une s\u00e9paration suppl\u00e9mentaire durant ce laps de temps.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sur le continent europ\u00e9en la limite de ces \u00e9poques et p\u00e9riodes diff\u00e9rent d&#8217;un pays \u00e0 l&#8217;autre, c&#8217;est pourquoi il est impossible de fixer une limite uniforme \u00e0 chaque \u00e9tat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La liste suivante ne reprend que les \u00e9poques helv\u00e9tiques.<br><br><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ep.
